The mark

A shorebird in glide, drawn in continuous strokes over the sweep of a coastline. It reads as both a bird keeping watch and a nest seen from above, the two halves of the name.

Clear space. Keep at least half the mark's height clear on all sides. The dashed boundary shown here is the minimum.

Minimum size. Never render the mark below 14px tall; below that, the wing strokes close up.

Color. Harbor Navy on light backgrounds, Beacon Gold on navy. Never outside the palette, never outlined, never rotated.

Color

Drawn from the territory itself: deep harbor water, late-afternoon light on sand, tide lines and sea mist. Navy carries the weight; gold is spent sparingly, on the moments that matter.
